​The Department of European Languages at Mutah University is proud to share that two of its outstanding students, Mohammad Al-Khalaf and Basma Shehadeh, took part in the Regional Mediation Bootcamp. The event was organized by the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie – Middle East branch, in collaboration with the Professional Mediation Center at Saint Joseph University in Beirut, and was held at the Francophone Employment Center in Beirut on May 20–21, 2025.

Around fifty students from seven countries across the region (Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Sudan, and Yemen) joined this intensive training program, which focused on building skills in positive communication, peaceful conflict resolution, and practical mediation techniques through hands-on activities and real-life simulations.

We warmly congratulate Mohammad and Basma on their strong participation, which brought pride to Mutah University. We also applaud their dedication to sharing what they’ve learned with their fellow students, helping to foster a culture of dialogue and mutual understanding both on campus and beyond.
