On November 5, 2023, representing the University President, his deputy for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Mohammad Al-Sarayreh, inaugurated the research projects of the Translation Department at Mutah University. The event was attended by the Dean of the College of Arts, Dr. Maher Al-Mubaideen, the Dean of the College of Social Sciences, Dr. Mohammad Al-Amayreh, Dr. Kirsten Andersen from Napier University in Edinburgh, United Kingdom, Dr. Nader Al-Bkower, the Head of the Translation Department at Mutah University, and several professors and students from the department. Both the Dean of the College and the Head of the Translation Department spoke about the nature of the research projects supported by the British Academy, which this year focused on the theme "Oral History and Translation." Dr. Al-Sarayreh commended this type of applied research activity and welcomed Dr. Kirsten Andersen, who participated in these valuable projects related to documenting Jordanian history, heritage, and tourism.
