Under the patronage of the University President, Dr. Salameh Al-Nuaimat, and in the presence of the Dean of the College of Arts, Dr. Maher Al-Mubaideen, the Arabic Language Department Scientific Day was held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. The day included various activities, including the presentation of a distinguished research paper by Dr. Fayez Al-Qaisi entitled "Reading Orientalist Paintings as a Form of Translation of Cultural Self-Image in the Mirror of the Other, with Selected Examples from the Orientalist French Artist Jean-Léon Gérôme's Paintings of the East." The Scientific Day also featured a presentation of the book "The Arab Scientific Institute in the East" authored by Dr. Sameer Al-Droubi, along with a profound analysis of the book presented by the Head of the Arabic Language and Literature Department, Dr. Fayez Al-Mahasneh. The events of the Scientific Day were moderated by the Language Professor in the department, Dr. Jazaa Al-Masarweh, who delivered a speech highlighting the unique characteristics of the Arabic language that distinguish it from other languages worldwide, such as eloquence, the significance of sounds in conveying meanings, and the richness of vocabulary. At the conclusion of the event, Dr. Salamah Al-Nuaimat honored the participants in appreciation of their outstanding efforts and dedication to the success of the Scientific Day as a distinguished event.​
